Overview

As Two Monster is only playable in Coop. The 2 Players will have to choose their character between : Tim & La Boule.

This choice will affect their gameplay due to the asymmetric aspect of the different characters.

The levels must have more than one way to complete it for most of them. It allows the player to replay the game with the other character.

This Poject is born first during a scriptwriting course years ago during my preparatory class in Game Sup.

I decided to develop the idea and now I'v finally started the Level Design work.

And I will bring to you only the first section of the game, that is the Tutorial and the first few levels.

For the Layout, I have 2 colors for the 2 different characters :

Blue for Tim

Orange for La Boule

Tim is tied on the table, and he has to be untied by La Boule.

At the start, there were 4 straps to untie, 2 for the hand and 2 for the feets, all above the table. But it was too repetitive, So I removed one strap for the hands and switched it below the table.

​The goal was to encourage La Boule to first untie Tim's feet with the spawn & camera location/orientation. And then go for the hands.

To untie his arm, Tim can move his camera below the table to locate the strap and communicate it to La Boule.

With this new location for the third interaction point, we create comunication and a need of cooperation that we didn't have with the previous model.
